Swimming History Rewritten in Beijing: Michael Phelps continued to make the headlines in Beijing, as he claimed his 7th gold of the Games. The swimming super star equalled Mark Spitzs' record and claimed his $1 million bonus in the process.

First LZR Racer World Record Broken in Beijing: Michael Phelps (USA) made history, as he became the first Speedo sponsored swimmer to break a world record in Beijing.

Two More World Records in the LZR Racer: As Day Three of the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials came to a close in Omaha, four more Team Speedo swimmers earned their berth on the Olympic Team - Natalie Coughlin, Jessica Hardy, Megan Jendrick, and Klete Keller will now represent the U.S. in Beijing! With the conclusion of tonight’s performances, 21 of the 22 athletes named to the team were wearing Speedo.

More World Records crushed in Australia by Trickett and Jones: April 25 2008. Speedo sponsored Libby Trickett clocked an astonishing time of 55.74 in Women's 100m butterfly at the Australian Grand Prix in Canberra. The Speedo LZR Racer wearing Aussie stole the record from team mate Felicity Galvez, set less than two weeks ago at the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) - Manchester 2008.

SPEEDO SWIMMERS REIGN SUPREME WITH 17 WORLD RECORDS: Speedo® celebrated its 80th birthday in spectacular style at the 9th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) in Manchester, the largest FINA championships to date, with over 130 countries and 800 athletes represented. A total of 132 medals were won and 17 world records were broken by swimmers wearing the new Speedo LZR RACER® swimsuit. This brings the total number of world records broken in the Speedo LZR RACER suit to 36 since the suit was launched in February.
