- Three World records from Kirsty Coventry, Natalie Coughlin and Eamon Sullivan, American Records from Katie Hoff and numerous personal bests, have given the LZR Racer, the Aqua V Cap and the Sidewinder and Aquasocket goggles the earth shattering introduction to the world they deserve.
Records Smashed by Coventry, Hoff & Sullivan and Missouri Grand Prix. On the first day of finals at the Missouri Grand Prix, with a blistering time of 2:06.39 in the women's 200m back, Kirsty Coventry of Zimbabwe set the first World Record wearing the Speedo LZR RACER.
Katie Hoff shattered the American Record by 1.6 seconds just missing the World Record of 4:02.13. Hoff's American Record came less than an hour after she won the women's 100m free in a lifetime best time of 54.28.
Wearing the LZR RACER Legskin, Michael Phelps won the men's 200m fly in 1:53.51, going four-tenths faster than his time in this event in Missouri last year. Natalie Coughlin broke her own World Record in 100m back at the event, going 59.21, breaking the record by 2 tenths. She was wearing a Speedo LZR Racer with the new Aqua V cap.
Times slashed at New South Wales Open and Personal Bests bettered. At the New South Wales Open Titles Grant Hackett swam his best time in 3 years for the 400m, and won the 200m.
Australia`s newest sprinting star, Eamon Sullivan, broke the World Record in the 50m free wearing the new Speedo LZR RACER with a time of 21.56, making him the fastest sprinter ever.
Tarnee White, Haydon Stoeckel, Steph Rice, Tay Zimmer and Robert Hurley also swam their personal best whilst wearing the Speedo LZR RACER. This weekend has seen our sponsored swimmers give world shattering performances across the globe - we can only imagine the results to come!
