- Coughlin shatters her World Record in the Speedo LZR Racer
- Things are hotting up on the second day of the US trials in Omaha with two more world records being smashed - both in the morning preliminaries, about 2 minutes apart.
Hayley McGregory knocked off Natalie Coughlin's best in the 100m backstroke with a time of 59.15, only to have Coughlin take it right back in the next heat at 59.03. Speaking of her win Coughlin said:
"I was planning on going a lot easier this morning, but yeah, it gave me a little motivation to swim a little faster than I was originally planning."
A total of 41 World Records have been set by athletes wearing the Speedo LZR Racer.
