2.7 million people die from malaria each year

The big swim started on 5th April 2008.
Carry on the fight.

One million people swimming against Malaria in 2008. One child dies every 30 seconds because of malaria. Speedo, with World Swim Against Malaria, is encouraging people to come together and swim, any distance, throughout 2008. 100% of each $5 donation will be used to buy a much needed bednet (mosquito net) impregnated with insecticide; the protection these bednets offer is the most effective way of stopping people contracting malaria.

Our participating athletes include:
Grant Hackett, Bronte Barratt, Natalie Coughlin, Liam Tancock, Katie Hoff, Michael Phelps, Amanda Beard, Richard Sambera, Caitlin McClatchey and Tara Kirk.
